Making Good Use of Leftover Fabric
I needed some shorts, but I didn't want to buy new fabric. I took some leftover fabric, got out my scrubs pattern, and made two pairs of shorts and a top. The shorts were made by simply folding the pattern to the length I wanted and cutting out short rather than ankle length pants.
I LOVE your shorts. I've been making the equivalent of mompe pants which are below the knee to hide knee surgerIES. Guess I'll try some a bit shorter. They're much cooler than regular store bought shorts.

Deb! I'm inspired by your "necessity is the mother of invention" creativity! Way to use up some great fabrics.

Very nice, Deb! So fun and so cool/comfy looking.
I love your idea for making the shorts off the scrub pants pattern! I want to make some now.
Too cute... I'm so burnt out on clothing sewing at the moment but these are absolutely adorable! Such a great idea and love your fabric mix.
