It says that you should have your DNA tested. http://familytreedna.com will give you your maternal line (mother, grandmother, great-grand, etc) and you'll find out the genetic story. E-mail me off line if you want to know more.
To me it looks like a balance between light and dark as well as something held close and tight until finally released to float out loosely and freely (and all in the context of the Star of David representing the Jewish faith).
Hi deb--ur quilt is wonderful--just wondering if you know anything about the old norweign cast on? My mom too is from East Prussia her home town is Angerap and i was just wondering if you know how the germans learn that type of knitting? i too would like to learn more of my moms background but she never talked to much about it --yes we spoke hoch deutsch at home and english--irina
