Bog Coat
I had forgotten how I made my other bog coats, so I had a little trouble with this one. After some struggling, some time away from the sewing machine to think, and a few ideas soundly rejected, I came up with a loose weave, short sleeved jacket to wear in the summer with the terra cotta colored pants I made a week ago or so.
At the moment, I'm working on another pair of slacks to be paired with another bog coat. Yes, there will be photos.
My New Clothes
Silk matalesee blouse. I wore this last week and someone was astounded that I made the blouse. This is one of the simplest patters I've ever had, but I thought of a friend of mine who keeps saying that not everyone can do what I do.
I really like positive and negative prints. This black and cream skirt has cream and black godets.
If I ever decide to use metallic thread on a 6-gore skirt with godets again, someone please boop me on the head. I had more problems with that fussy thread. I did all the tricks, but I had too many seams to embellish and it was more than the thread could take.
I made a blouse out of the cream and black print and bound the neck with hand-made black and cream bias binding.
