The top photo is without sunshine, the bottom is with. I used black beads, black beads that sparkle, silver seed beads and a sterling silver chai.

I needed to spend quality time in the Art Zone last night, so I spent 5 hours in the clay studio after work. I'm still playing with Bedside Boxes but now I'm playing with surface design and lids.

Bog Coat

I had forgotten how I made my other bog coats, so I had a little trouble with this one. After some struggling, some time away from the sewing machine to think, and a few ideas soundly rejected, I came up with a loose weave, short sleeved jacket to wear in the summer with the terra cotta colored pants I made a week ago or so.

At the moment, I'm working on another pair of slacks to be paired with another bog coat. Yes, there will be photos.

Jim's Latest Pens

My New Clothes

Silk matalesee blouse. I wore this last week and someone was astounded that I made the blouse. This is one of the simplest patters I've ever had, but I thought of a friend of mine who keeps saying that not everyone can do what I do.
I really like positive and negative prints. This black and cream skirt has cream and black godets.
If I ever decide to use metallic thread on a 6-gore skirt with godets again, someone please boop me on the head. I had more problems with that fussy thread. I did all the tricks, but I had too many seams to embellish and it was more than the thread could take.

I made a blouse out of the cream and black print and bound the neck with hand-made black and cream bias binding.

iPod Classic Pouch - First Version

I needed a pouch so I could wear my iPod Classic while I was listening to it. This is the first version. I'll use it for a while until I know how to tweak the design to make it perfect.
